The mission of our office is to provide excellent dentistry to our patients in an efficient, professional, caring atmosphere and to educate them on their roles in maintenance and preventive dentistry. By stressing prevention we are striving to ensure the patient’s future dental needs are kept to a minimum and in so doing, the longevity of the dentistry performed is maximized.
Our preventive services include periodic oral cancer examinations, periodic decay-detecting X-rays, professional cleanings, fluoride treatments and oral hygiene instruction.
Staying Current
Excellent dentistry requires doctors and staff to be current in their
knowledge of new materials and techniques. Our office is committed to
continuing education. Our doctors attend seminars and courses yearly to
remain informed of all new pertinent treatment modalities. The clinical
staff attends courses as well, keeping them up-to-date on new advances
in dental medicine. Our clerical staff attends business seminars to stay
abreast of the ever-changing insurance world, so
that we can help you obtain maximum benefits from your insurance.
Infection Control
Our office uses techniques and equipment that surpass the recommendations of the
American Dental Association and the Centers for Disease Control. Our entire office
attends yearly seminars updating us in new recommendations. Staff members are trained
in proper infection control and have been vaccinated against Hepatitis B-Virus. We
utilize modern autoclaves to sterilize our equipment and all staff members wear
masks, gloves, and protective eyewear. Disposable gloves worn while treating
patients are never worn more than once and all surfaces, chairs and units are
disinfected between patients to prevent cross-contamination.
Patient Comfort
We strive to make your time with us as pleasant and as comfortable as possible. For
patients who are apprehensive, a personal tape player with a selection of tapes is
available to help reduce anxiety. We also offer nitrous oxide (Laughing Gas) to alleviate
a patient’s apprehension of receiving local anesthesia. We have a new anesthesia
delivery instrument called “the Wand,” which is a computerized, painless Novocain
delivery system.
